Our program consists of 8 to 12 individual sessions with a registered dietitian / exercise physiologist A typical appointment includes
Assessment/Reassessment (90-min beginning & end of program)
Get to know patient through reviewing
Medical history
Health issues
Medication
Food likes and dislikes
Physical activity likes and dislikes
Exercise testing
Goal setting
Follow-up (50-min weekly or biweekly)
Goal review - how did last week go?
10-min structured exercise
5-min flexibility
5-min meditation/mindfullness exercise
10-min nutrition education - topic based on patients wants and needs
